Nokian WRA3 and WRD3 - RunFlat Sizes Only

Nokian has announced that the WR-G2 is being replaced with the WRA3 and WRD3 in the runflat sizes only. The WR-G2 is still the current model for non-runflat passenger and SUV tires.

The A3 and D3 have very different tread designs and are intended for different applications. 
The D3 tire is a sound choice for small and mid-sized family cars and for motorists who value economical and safe driving. Whereas the A3 is optimized for efficient cars with a special emphasis placed on the tyre's precise and sensitive driving at higher speeds.
. The D3 is a tire built for uncompromising safety and reliability for vehicles that do not necessarily need high speed performance. 

The tyre's resistance against aquaplaning and slush planing is enhanced by applying a slanting, staggered front edge of tread blocks. This new innovation is called Slush Blower, because it actually blows water and slush away from the tyre grooves. The polished grooves also speed up the removal flow of water and slush.

The A3 is optimized for efficient cars with a special emphasis placed on the tyre's precise and sensitive driving at higher speeds.Essentially, the A3 is an efficient high performance all weather tire for vehicles that place a lot of emphasis on high speed performance
The sporty Nokian WR A3 has an asymmetrical inside-outside tread pattern that enables reliable grip without compromising high-speed driving properties. The inner shoulder design enhances the removal of water and slush.

WRA3

 The semi-round cavities on the sides of the longitudinal ribs, resembling a golf ball pattern, cool the Nokian WR A3 by minimizing the heat emission and make it more durable and safe even at high speeds. This innovation, called Silent Groove Design, also reduces drag and ensures better mileage thanks to lower fuel consumption. Moreover, it successfully minimises the inside and pass-by noise of the vehicle.


Currently these tires are only available in RunFlat Sizes in North America
