American Racing Wheels' New Line is a Blast from the Past

According to a press release in early August 2014, eleven brand new American Racing Vintage Forged wheels will be made available to the public this month as a promotion for the company's Wheel Pros Custom Shop. Early reviews show that the new Vintage Forged line includes wheels that are both lightweight and strong. American Racing wheels are, as always, made completely in the U.S.A, and this line is meant to show admiration, as well as respect, for the company's roots. Chris Plum, Sales Manager for the American Racing Wheel Pros Custom Shop, explains that "American Racing has been in motorsport since the 1950s, and these two-piece forged styles are a return to our heritage."

American Racing has truly become a mainstay of the automotive industry, with a very well-known brand. The company proudly considers itself a "wheel industry leader in craftsmanship, engineering, innovation and performance." Since its inception in 1956, American Racing has offered exceptional products, even during its initial years, when the company focused on magnesium and aluminum racing wheels. The new American Racing Vintage Forged wheels are specifically built with 6061 forged aluminum, for lightweight and superior strength. Looking to invoke nostalgia with old fashioned "best-in-show quality looks," the new Vintage Forged line includes newly minted takes on  the iconic looks that made American Racing a wheel industry icon for over 55 years.  Additionally, the Vintage Forged Wheels line also includes several first-time, two-piece styles designed to meet pro-touring specs. These wheels are meant to maintain a necessary balance between being lightweight and strong, as well as have additional clearance to the spokes in order accommodate larger brake kits that are used on tours.

As always, all American Racing wheels are proudly made to order in California, with custom backspacing available in 1/8th inch increments. All styles are expertly polished, or finished in color, with a wide range of paint and clear-cut options.
